Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

estimate
estimate_speech_time
Use this when the user wants to know how long a speech or script will take. Accepts a script up to 30,000 characters or a word count, and slow, conversational, presentation, fast, or a whole number from 60 to 300 words per minute. Returns a duration table; script sections begin at blank lines or heading lines. [PAUSE] adds one second and [PAUSE 3] adds three seconds; numeric cues accept whole seconds from 1 to 86,400 per cue. Does not measure a live recording.
plan
plan_script_length
Use this when the user wants to fit a speech into a target duration. With a target duration and speed, returns how many words to write. With a script and target duration, returns the necessary speed plus words to cut or add at the selected pace. Target duration is 1 second to 24 hours and speed is a whole number from 60 to 300 words per minute. Numeric pause cues accept whole seconds from 1 to 86,400 per cue. Does not rewrite the script.
show
show_teleprompter
Use this when the user wants to read a script in a live teleprompter. Accepts up to 30,000 characters, a whole-number speed from 60 to 300 words per minute or a target duration, text size, mirror mode, and a 0 to 10 second countdown. Returns word count and duration; the full script is shown only in the widget. Numeric pause cues accept whole seconds from 1 to 86,400 per cue. Does not record video or audio.

Linepace Teleprompter — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Linepace Teleprompter do?
It exposes 3 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: estimate_speech_time, plan_script_length, show_teleprompter. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Linepace Teleprompter working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 176 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Linepace Teleprompter?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Linepace Teleprompter need an API key?
No. Linepace Teleprompter completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 3 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Linepace Teleprompter?
It answers our handshake in 176 ms on average, which is faster than 79% of all working MCP servers we measure. That puts it in the quick quarter of the ecosystem. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
