Nothing serious here today

Today is the operative word: we check Amazon Ads every 15 minutes and re-read its code on every release. Watch it and you find out the day that stops being true.

Put your own values in place of <AMAZON_ADS_CLIENT_ID> (Login with Amazon client ID of an application with Amazon Ads API access), <AMAZON_ADS_CLIENT_SECRET> (Client secret of that Login with Amazon security profile. Keep it secret), <AMAZON_ADS_REFRESH_TOKEN> (Refresh token (Atzr|...) granted to that client. Renewed in memory only), <AMAZON_ADS_REGION> (API region of the profiles: NA, EU or FE), <AMAZON_ADS_PROFILE_IDS> (Comma-separated advertising profile IDs this server may use. Required even for reads). The author’s registry entry marks them as required.

Optional settings from the registry entry, left out of the block above: AMAZON_ADS_ENABLE_WRITES (true exposes the write tools, which preview first. Defaults to false).

Amazon Ads — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

Why is there no uptime for Amazon Ads?
Amazon Ads runs on your own machine over stdio — there is no network address to reach, so uptime cannot be measured for it by anyone. What can be measured is adoption: the npm package @getmcpads/amazon-ads-mcp-server.
How do I connect Amazon Ads?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It runs locally, so the command pulls @getmcpads/amazon-ads-mcp-server straight from npm; nothing to host, nothing to sign up for.
Is Amazon Ads open source?
Yes — it is published under the Apache-2.0 licence, written in TypeScript and 0 stars on GitHub. The source link is on this page, so you can read exactly what it does with your data before you connect it.
