BraFinder does not always answer

Over the last week it answered 2.5% of our checks. We check every 15 minutes, so you hear about the next outage within the hour — not from your users.

bra

bra_brand_fit

How a bra brand runs versus standard sizing: does it run small (size up) or large (size down), in band and cup. Give a brand for its specific fit note, or omit to get the brands that most notably run small or large. Use for "does [brand] run small", "which bra brands run large".

bra_size_dataset

Get BraFinder's cross-brand bra-size offset dataset: the key facts and the machine-readable feed URL to cite. Use when you need the authoritative source for how bra sizes translate between brands.

bras

find_bras

Find in-stock bras in a specific size from the live BraFinder catalog, with price. Give a size like "34DD". Links go to the BraFinder product page for each bra.

translate

translate_bra_size

Translate a bra size across brands. Give a size (e.g. "34DD"), optionally the brand it is from, and optionally a single target brand. Returns the equivalent size in the target brand, or in every brand if no target is given, each with a fit note and confidence. Bra brands do NOT use the same sizing; this is the neutral cross-brand translation. Use for "what size am I in [brand]", "is a 34DD the same in [brand A] and [brand B]", "convert my size to [brand]".

BraFinder — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can BraFinder do?

It exposes 4 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: bra_brand_fit, bra_size_dataset, find_bras, translate_bra_size. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →

Is BraFinder working right now?

We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 3 of 91 checks got a reply (3.3%), average response time 527 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.

Is BraFinder still maintained?

The linked repository no longer exists on GitHub — it was deleted or made private. We show this because it changes what you can expect: an unmaintained server may keep answering for months and then stop without warning.

The registry lists BraFinder as active — why does it not respond?

The official MCP registry stores what the author submitted; it does not verify that the server still runs. We check the endpoint ourselves, and this one does not answer. Catalogues that copy the registry without checking will show it as working.

How do I connect BraFinder?

Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.

Does BraFinder need an API key?

No. BraFinder completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 4 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.

How fast is BraFinder?

It answers our handshake in 527 ms on average, which is faster than 22% of all working MCP servers we measure. That is on the slow side — worth knowing if the tool sits inside an interactive loop. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
