Things that trip people up with OpenCode

Written from how OpenCode reads its config, not from its release notes.

type decides everything
local expects a command, remote expects a URL. The field is what tells them apart — the rest of the entry looks similar enough to copy the wrong one.
Tokens live elsewhere
Authorisation data is kept in a separate file, not in opencode.json. That is what makes the config safe to commit.
Project config wins
An entry in the repository overrides the same name in your user config. Useful for pinning a work server, surprising when you forget it exists.
