Claude Skills

The open format is called Agent Skills and works in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents — most people know it as Claude Skills.

Every Agent Skill we could find on GitHub, deduplicated by content. 79 354 files from 1 739 authors, of which 61 713 are unique — the rest is the same skill repackaged into someone else's repository. For each one: what it weighs in tokens, whether it ships runnable scripts, and which MCP servers it needs.

Covers the ffmpeg compression workflow (the scripts/optimize-onboarding-videos.mjs wrapper), the faststart + right-size best practices that keep playback smooth, the first-frame poster convention, and how to wire a new clip into WelcomeScreen. Use when onboarding demo clips feel laggy, when a clip is being added/swapped/re-recorded, or when posters and videos drift out of sync.

2k tokens
Subagent Orchestration
by PostHog
vendor ×1

How and when to delegate work to subagents via the `subagent` tool (Explore, Plan, General). Use when a task involves codebase recon, implementation planning, or actual code changes that would benefit from an isolated context window instead of doing it all inline.

2k tokens
Mongodb Natural Language Querying
by mongodb
×1

Generate read-only MongoDB queries (find) or aggregation pipelines using natural language, with collection schema context and sample documents. Use this skill whenever the user asks to write, create, or generate MongoDB queries, wants to filter/query/aggregate data in MongoDB, asks "how do I query...", needs help with query syntax, or discusses finding/filtering/grouping MongoDB documents. Also use for translating SQL-like requests to MongoDB syntax. Does NOT handle Atlas Search ($search operator), vector/semantic search ($vectorSearch operator), fuzzy matching, autocomplete indexes, or relevance scoring - use search-and-ai for those. Does NOT analyze or optimize existing queries - use mongodb-query-optimizer for that. Does NOT handle aggregation pipelines that involve write operations. Requires MongoDB MCP server.

2k tokens
Mongodb Connection
by mongodb
×1

Optimize MongoDB client connection configuration (pools, timeouts, patterns) for any supported driver language. Use this skill when working/updating/reviewing on functions that instantiate or configure a MongoDB client (eg, when calling `connect()`), configuring connection pools, troubleshooting connection errors (ECONNREFUSED, timeouts, pool exhaustion), optimizing performance issues related to connections. This includes scenarios like building serverless functions with MongoDB, creating API endpoints that use MongoDB, optimizing high-traffic MongoDB applications, creating long-running tasks and concurrency, or debugging connection-related failures.

6k tokens
Mongodb Atlas Stream Processing
by mongodb
×1

Manages MongoDB Atlas Stream Processing (ASP) workflows. Handles workspace provisioning, data source/sink connections, processor lifecycle operations, debugging diagnostics, and tier sizing. Supports Kafka, Atlas clusters, S3, HTTPS, and Lambda integrations for streaming data workloads and event processing. NOT for general MongoDB queries or Atlas cluster management. Requires MongoDB MCP Server with Atlas API credentials.

20k tokens
Mongodb Search And AI
by mongodb
×1

| Guides MongoDB users through implementing and optimizing Atlas Search (full-text), Vector Search (semantic), and Hybrid Search solutions. Use this skill when users need to build search functionality for text-based queries (autocomplete, fuzzy matching, faceted search), semantic similarity (embeddings, RAG applications), or combined approaches. Also use when users need text containment, substring matching ('contains', 'includes', 'appears in'), case-insensitive or multi-field text search, or filtering across many fields with variable combinations. Provides workflows for selecting the right search type, creating indexes, constructing queries, and optimizing performance using the MongoDB MCP server.

Mongodb MCP Setup
by mongodb

1k tokens
Anydesign
by uxKero
×1

Analyze images, websites, and Figma files to extract their design and generate a `design.md` with token system, component inventory, and reconstruction notes. Use this skill whenever the user wants to understand, document, replicate, or audit the design of something visual: a screenshot, a URL, a Figma link, a Pinterest reference, a mockup, a competitor's site, a component, a dashboard, a landing page. Also when they ask 'extract the design system from X', 'document the style of Y', 'analyze this visually', 'convert this image into tokens', 'help me replicate this design', 'what palette does this site use', 'how is this built'. Also for single elements: 'copy this navbar', 'recreate this illustration', 'give me a prompt to regenerate this graphic' — element mode outputs a focused element.md, with token-grounded image-model prompts when the element is visual art. If the user brings any visual source and wants to understand it at a design level — this skill should activate.

Image To Code
by lornshrimp
×1

Elite website image-to-code skill for Codex. For visually important web tasks, it must first generate the design image(s) itself, deeply analyze them, then implement the website to match them as closely as possible. In Codex, it must prefer large, readable, section-specific images instead of tiny compressed boards, generate fresh standalone images for sections or detail views instead of cropping old ones, avoid lazy under-generation, avoid cards-inside-cards-inside-cards UI, and keep the hero clean, spacious, readable, and visible on a small laptop.

9k tokens
Imagegen Frontend Mobile
by lornshrimp
×1

Elite mobile app image-generation skill for creating premium, app-native screen concepts and flows. Designed for iOS, Android, and cross-platform mobile products. Prioritizes clean hierarchy, comfortably readable text, strong multi-screen consistency, controlled color palettes, non-generic creative direction, textured surfaces, image-led composition, tasteful custom iconography, and clean phone mockup framing. By default, screens should be shown inside a subtle premium iPhone or similar phone mockup with a visible frame, while the main focus stays on the app content itself. This skill generates images only. It does not write code.

10k tokens
Minimalist UI
by lornshrimp

Clean editorial-style interfaces. Warm monochrome palette, typographic contrast, flat bento grids, muted pastels. No gradients, no heavy shadows.

Claude Skills — questions

Answers built from the skills we actually parsed.

What is a Claude Skill?
A folder with a SKILL.md file: instructions that teach an agent to do one thing well, optionally with scripts and reference files alongside. The format is open and called Agent Skills — Claude Code, Codex and other agents read the same files. It is not a program you run; it is knowledge the agent loads when the task calls for it.
How is a skill different from an MCP server?
A server gives the agent new abilities — it connects to something and exposes tools. A skill gives the agent knowledge: how to use what it already has. They combine, and often literally: 11 329 of the skills here declare which MCP servers they need to work.
Why are there fewer skills here than in other catalogues?
Because we deduplicate by content. Of 79 354 files found on GitHub, 61 713 are unique — the rest is the same skill copied into someone else's repository, word for word. Catalogues that count files rather than skills show every copy as a separate entry.
What does the token count mean?
A skill is loaded into the model's context when it is used, so its size is a running cost on every request that touches it. We measure the whole folder, not just SKILL.md: one official skill is 377 tokens, another drags 83 files of fonts behind it.
How do I install a skill?
Copy the skill folder into ~/.claude/skills for personal use, or into .claude/skills inside a project. The agent picks it up by the name in the SKILL.md header — which is worth checking: 7 879 skills here share a name with another skill, and two of them cannot sit side by side.
