Cache Efficiency
by hoangsonww

> Analyze prompt-cache effectiveness for Claude Code usage from the Agent Monitor dashboard — cache hit rate (total_cache_read / (total_cache_read + total_input)), cache_write vs cache_read reuse, cache-read vs cache-write spend, and the sessions with the poorest reuse. Pulls token totals from /api/analytics, per-session detail from /api/sessions, and dollar splits from /api/pricing/cost. Use when diagnosing cache spend or deciding whether prompt caching is paying off.

964 tokens
Cost Breakdown

843 tokens
Model Mix
by hoangsonww

> Break down Claude Code usage by model family (Opus / Sonnet / Haiku) from the Agent Monitor dashboard — each family's share of tokens, share of cost, and the spots where an expensive model is doing cheap work. Pulls per-model token and cost splits from /api/pricing/cost, current rates from /api/pricing, fleet token totals from /api/analytics, and per-session model assignment from /api/sessions. Use when deciding model routing or whether to downshift work to a cheaper tier.

772 tokens
Daily Budget Check
by hoangsonww

> Run a daily spend check-in against a daily budget on the Agent Monitor dashboard — today's spend vs the daily target, pace through the day, and the projected overage if the current pace holds. Uses /api/pricing/cost and /api/sessions (grouped by started_at = today). Use for a quick daily spend check-in or a morning/evening budget pulse.

760 tokens
Model Savings
by hoangsonww

> Estimate the dollars saved by routing eligible Claude Code work to a cheaper model family, using the Agent Monitor pricing engine. Re-prices each model's token mix at the target family's rates and quantifies the delta. Uses /api/pricing (rates), /api/pricing/cost (current per-model spend), /api/sessions, and /api/analytics. Use when hunting for cost cuts or comparing model tiers.

1k tokens

Claude Skills — questions

Answers built from the skills we actually parsed.

What is a Claude Skill?
A folder with a SKILL.md file: instructions that teach an agent to do one thing well, optionally with scripts and reference files alongside. The format is open and called Agent Skills — Claude Code, Codex and other agents read the same files. It is not a program you run; it is knowledge the agent loads when the task calls for it.
How is a skill different from an MCP server?
A server gives the agent new abilities — it connects to something and exposes tools. A skill gives the agent knowledge: how to use what it already has. They combine, and often literally: 11 333 of the skills here declare which MCP servers they need to work.
Why are there fewer skills here than in other catalogues?
Because we deduplicate by content. Of 79 437 files found on GitHub, 61 785 are unique — the rest is the same skill copied into someone else's repository, word for word. Catalogues that count files rather than skills show every copy as a separate entry.
What does the token count mean?
A skill is loaded into the model's context when it is used, so its size is a running cost on every request that touches it. We measure the whole folder, not just SKILL.md: one official skill is 377 tokens, another drags 83 files of fonts behind it.
How do I install a skill?
Copy the skill folder into ~/.claude/skills for personal use, or into .claude/skills inside a project. The agent picks it up by the name in the SKILL.md header — which is worth checking: 7 884 skills here share a name with another skill, and two of them cannot sit side by side.
