create_invoice
Create a draft invoice by hand. It stays a draft: finalizing and sending happen in the app, and finalizing needs a real sender address with a tax number or VAT ID (billingEntityId from list_billing_entities, or create_billing_entity with data the user gives you, never invented). Example: invoiceDate "2026-11-04", billingClientId from list_billing_clients, lineItems [{position: 1, description: "Consulting", quantity: 8, unit: "h", unitPrice: 95, vatRate: 19}].

Example: date "2026-11-04", billingClientId from list_billing_clients, positions [{description: "Design workshop", quantity: 2, unit: "days", unitPriceNet: 1200}]. Use estimate_quote first to price a scope. The quote is never sent automatically; sending needs a human approval in the app. The legacy `data` JSON string (document field names) is still accepted.

workload.zero — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can workload.zero do?
It exposes 151 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: add_project_member, add_suppression, add_task_comment, add_task_link, assign_task_to_me, attach_file_to_task and 145 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
What is workload.zero mostly used for?
Its tools cluster around task, project and invoice. That is what this server is built to work with — the grouping comes from the actual tool names, not from a category we assigned.
Is workload.zero working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 161 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect workload.zero?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does workload.zero need an API key?
No. workload.zero completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 151 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is workload.zero?
It answers our handshake in 161 ms on average, which is faster than 80% of all working MCP servers we measure. That puts it in the quick quarter of the ecosystem. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is workload.zero open source?
We cannot say either way: 0 stars on GitHub, but we could not determine the licence, and without one the code is not open source by default.
