One call for an item overview: last-12-month value with YoY and 3-year change, main partners and their growth, growing and declining partners, new markets, seasonality, yearly trend, concentration and a one-line summary. Use this first for questions about an item. / 品目の全体像を1回で返します（直近12か月の金額と前年比・3年前比、主な相手国と伸び、伸びた国・減った国、新しい市場、季節の波、年ごとの推移、集中度、1行の要約）。品目について聞かれたら、まずこれを使います。

Call this first. Returns periods and latest months for exports and imports, levels, which tool answers which question, keyless limits and known source-data gaps. / まず最初に呼ぶ道具。輸出・輸入それぞれの期間と最新月、区切り、どの問いにどの道具を使うか、キーなしの範囲、元データの欠けを返します。

Use this for the overall picture of trade with one country: exports, imports, balance, YoY and the main items, in one call. For one item's breakdown by partner, use get_partners. / ある国との貿易の全体像（輸出額・輸入額・差し引き・前年比・主な品目）を1回で知りたいときに使います。ある品目の相手国ごとの内訳は get_partners を使います。

Find items by name or code. Use this first when you do not know the code. 9-digit codes differ between exports and imports; check each result's flow. / 品名やコードから品目を探します。品目コードが分からないときに最初に使います。9桁の番号は輸出と輸入で体系が違うため、結果の flow でどちらの番号かを確かめてください。

Latest month and each month's status for exports and imports, the latest month common to both, the first month of data for each level (chapters and sections from 1988), and sources. For which tool to use and known data gaps, use get_catalog instead. / 輸出・輸入それぞれの最新の月と各月の速報／確報、両方にある最新の月、区切りごとのデータの開始月（類・部は1988年から）、出典を返します。道具の使い分けや欠けの一覧も知りたいときは get_catalog を使います。

Partners that newly appeared (last 12 months at or above the minimum, previous 12 months under USD 100,000) and partners that surged (2x or more). / 新しく取引が始まった相手（直近12か月が下限以上で、前の12か月が10万ドル未満）と、急に増えた相手（2倍以上）を返します。

Partner-country breakdown and shares for an item (one month or the last 12 months): destinations for exports, origins for imports. / 品目の相手国の内訳とシェア（その月、または直近12か月）。輸出なら輸出先、輸入なら輸入元。

Item ranking. For export or import, by value or yoy; for both, by balance (order=asc for the largest deficits). Set country to rank trade with one country. / 品目のランキング。export・import は金額（value）か前年比（yoy）、both は差し引き（balance、order=asc で輸入超過の大きい順）。country を指定するとその国との取引での順位。

Report a data problem (differs from official figures, missing, wrong name, etc.) to the operator. Returns no figures. / データの誤り（公表値と違う、欠けている、名前が違う など）を運営者に知らせます。数字の答えは返しません。

Seasonality: monthly shares over the last three full years with year-to-year range, peak and low months, for the world and the top 5 partners (or one country). / 季節の波を返します。直近の丸3年の月ごとの割合と年によるばらつき、山の月・谷の月。全世界と上位5か国（country を指定すればその国）。

Monthly series for an item (value, quantity, unit price, YoY, MoM, preliminary/revised). With flow=both, exports, imports and the balance side by side. Chapters and sections start in 1988; 9-, 6- and 4-digit codes start in 2022. Use freq=year for long-term trends, or set from for older months (without from, months start in January 2022). Some import chapters and sections for April 2018–December 2019 return no value but gap="source" with an explanation, because the source e-Stat table lacks data. This does not mean there was no trade. / 品目の月ごとの推移（金額・数量・単価・前年比・前月比・速報／確報）。flow=both なら輸出・輸入・差し引きを並べます。類・部は1988年から、9桁・6桁・4桁は2022年から。長期の推移は freq=year、月ごとの過去分は from を付けます（from を省くと2022年1月から）。輸入の類・部の 2018年4月〜2019年12月の一部は、元データ（e-Stat の統計表）に欠けがあるため値を返さず gap="source" と説明文を返します。取引が無かったという意味ではありません。
