Put your own values in place of <ARGOCD_TOKEN> (Argo CD bearer token (also accepts ARGOCD_AUTH_TOKEN or ARGOCD_API_TOKEN)), <ARGOCD_URL> (Argo CD base URL including any path prefix (e.g. https://argocd.example.com)). The author’s registry entry marks them as required.

Optional settings from the registry entry, left out of the block above: ARGOCD_READ_ONLY (Alias for MCP_READ_ONLY. Any value other than false/0/no/off/empty locks the server read-only; --read-only can only raise the lock), MCP_READ_ONLY (Locks the server read-only: write tools and write-workflow prompts are not listed and nothing lifts the lock at runtime. Shared name across the mcp-* servers; set it in the deployer's env), ARGOCD_HTTP_BEARER_TOKEN (Bearer token (min 16 chars) required to bind an HTTP transport to a non-loopback host; clients send it as 'Authorization: Bearer <token>').

MCP Argocd — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

Why is there no uptime for MCP Argocd?
MCP Argocd runs on your own machine over stdio — there is no network address to reach, so uptime cannot be measured for it by anyone. What can be measured is adoption: the pypi package mcp-argocd was installed 234 times last week.
How do I connect MCP Argocd?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It runs locally, so the command pulls mcp-argocd straight from pypi; nothing to host, nothing to sign up for.
How many people use MCP Argocd?
The pypi package mcp-argocd was installed 234 times in the last week. Week over week that is -70%. We show installs rather than GitHub stars on purpose: a star is a bookmark, an install is someone actually running it.
Is MCP Argocd open source?
Yes — it is published under the MIT licence, written in Python and 0 stars on GitHub. The source link is on this page, so you can read exactly what it does with your data before you connect it.
