text
text_em_all_add_account_user
MUTATES Text-Em-All data: adds a new user to your account (a master user can do this). Text-Em-All API: POST /v1/account/users. Provide the user's fields via `fields` using the API's PascalCase names (e.g. UserName, FirstName, LastName, EmailAddress, Permissions). Returns the created user.
text_em_all_create_broadcast
MUTATES Text-Em-All data AND SENDS MESSAGES (spends account credits): creates + sends a broadcast to the given contacts. Text-Em-All API: POST /v1/broadcasts. Set broadcastType to 'SMS' (a text broadcast — provide textMessage) or 'Announcement' (a voice broadcast — provide voiceText for text-to-speech, or a pre-recorded AudioID via `fields.Audio`). Contacts is a list of { primaryPhone, firstName?, lastName?, notes? }. Extra documented fields (CallerID, TextNumberID, Lists, RetryTimes, CallThrottle, MaxMessageLength, StartDate, CheckCallingWindow) go through `fields` (PascalCase). Returns the created broadcast.
text_em_all_create_draft_broadcast
MUTATES Text-Em-All data (creates a DRAFT — does NOT send anything): stages a broadcast with the given contacts and returns a single-sign-on URL to finish + send it in the Text-Em-All UI. Safer than text_em_all_create_broadcast when a human should review before sending. Text-Em-All API: POST /v1/draftbroadcasts. Returns { SingleSignOnUrl, ... }.
text_em_all_get_account
Fetch your Text-Em-All account settings — company/billing info plus credit balances (AvailableCallUnits, CallBalance) used for sending. Text-Em-All API: GET /v1/account. Use this first to confirm your credentials work.
text_em_all_get_authorization_token
Exchange a Text-Em-All account username + PIN/password for that user's authorization token (the value you set as TEXTEMALL_AUTH_TOKEN). Text-Em-All API: POST /v1/user/login. Signed with your App/Secret key only (no user token yet). Returns { AuthToken }. Use this once to bootstrap; store the token in config thereafter.
text_em_all_get_broadcast
Fetch a single broadcast by id, including its status and summary. Text-Em-All API: GET /v1/broadcasts/{id}.
text_em_all_get_broadcast_details
Fetch per-contact delivery details/results for a broadcast (who was reached, delivery status). Text-Em-All API: GET /v1/broadcasts/{id}/details.
text_em_all_get_conversations_sso_url
Generate a single-sign-on URL to the Text-Em-All conversations UI (open in a browser/iframe). Optionally scope it to one conversation thread by passing a toll-free textNumber + the other phoneNumber. Text-Em-All API: POST /v1/singlesignon/conversations. Returns { Url }. No account data is changed.
text_em_all_list_broadcasts
List broadcasts (text + voice campaigns) as a paged Feed { Size, Items:[...], Previous, Next }. Text-Em-All API: GET /v1/broadcasts. Filter with equals-style `params` (e.g. BroadcastStatus=Complete) and order with `sortby`. For date-range operators (StartDate~gte~2024-01-01) use the text_em_all_request escape hatch.
text_em_all_list_lists
List saved contact lists (groups you can broadcast to) as a Feed; each List has a ListID/ListName. Text-Em-All API: GET /v1/lists. NOTE: inferred from the API's List model — if your account/endpoint differs, use the text_em_all_request escape hatch.
text_em_all_list_text_numbers
List the toll-free text (SMS) numbers on your account as a Feed. Each TextNumber has a TextNumberID you need to send a 1:1 conversation text (see text_em_all_send_text_message). Text-Em-All API: GET /v1/textnumbers.
text_em_all_request
Power-user escape hatch: GET any Text-Em-All API path not wrapped by a dedicated tool. READ-ONLY — only GET is allowed. Pass the FULL API path after the origin, starting with a slash, INCLUDING any query string, e.g. "/v1/broadcasts?StartDate~gte~2024-01-01&sortby=-StartDate" or "/v1/textnumbers". Returns the parsed JSON.
text_em_all_send_text_message
MUTATES Text-Em-All data AND SENDS A TEXT (spends credits): sends a 1:1 conversation text message immediately from one of your toll-free text numbers to a single contact. Text-Em-All API: POST /v1/conversations. You need a textNumberId (from text_em_all_list_text_numbers). Returns the conversation.
text_em_all_update_account_user
MUTATES Text-Em-All data: updates an existing account user. Text-Em-All API: PUT /v1/account/users/{user_id}. Provide the fields to change via `fields` (PascalCase, e.g. FirstName, LastName, EmailAddress, Permissions). The user_id is never sent in the body. Returns the updated user.

Text-Em-All MCP by usefulapi — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Text-Em-All MCP by usefulapi do?
It exposes 14 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: text_em_all_add_account_user, text_em_all_create_broadcast, text_em_all_create_draft_broadcast, text_em_all_get_account, text_em_all_get_authorization_token, text_em_all_get_broadcast and 8 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Text-Em-All MCP by usefulapi working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 283 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
Did Text-Em-All MCP by usefulapi ever remove tools?
Yes. add_account_user, create_broadcast, create_draft_broadcast, get_account and 10 more are no longer exposed — we recorded the date each one disappeared. A tool vanishing usually means a breaking change for anything that depended on it.
How do I connect Text-Em-All MCP by usefulapi?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Text-Em-All MCP by usefulapi need an API key?
No. Text-Em-All MCP by usefulapi completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 14 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Text-Em-All MCP by usefulapi?
It answers our handshake in 283 ms on average, which is faster than 59% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is Text-Em-All MCP by usefulapi open source?
The code is open source: it is published under the MIT licence, written in JavaScript, 0 stars on GitHub and 1 open issue. The licence covers the code in the repository, not the hosted service at text-em-all.usefulapi.io, which runs on its operator's own terms.
