Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

formsonfire
formsonfire_create_task
WRITE: create a task for a field worker with one form to fill out, optionally with prefilled answers. By default it remains a draft; send_immediate=true sends it and notifies the worker. Identify the worker by email, user id or external id (list_users). The form is identified by its external id (formsonfire_get_form shows field names for the prefilled answers). Requires confirm=true and a due time. Not idempotent: calling twice creates two tasks. POST /task.
formsonfire_get_data_source
One data source by id (GUID) or external id: its column headers, TotalRows and (with return_rows) a page of rows. Rows are only returned when return_rows is true; page through them with page_no. GET /datasource.
formsonfire_get_form
One form's definition: name, version, status and its fields (names and types, which are the names to use for prefilled answers). Give the form's id (GUID) or its external id. GET /screen/form.
formsonfire_get_task
One task by its id (GUID), with activities and history. GET /task.
formsonfire_get_user
One user by id (GUID): name, status, groups, folders, role and registered devices. GET /user.
formsonfire_list_data_sources
List the data sources (lookup tables that feed dropdowns and prefill in forms, such as customers, sites or products): id, external id, name and row count. Use formsonfire_get_data_source for the rows. GET /datasource/search.
formsonfire_list_forms
List the forms (screens) in the organization with id, name, version and status. Use a form id with formsonfire_get_form or formsonfire_search_entries. GET /screen/form/search.
formsonfire_list_groups
List user groups with their id, name and member user ids. Filter by name or external id. Returns UserGroups with TotalRows. GET /usergroup/search.
formsonfire_list_users
List the organization's users (field workers and admins): name, email, status, groups, website role and last activity. Passwords and keys are never returned. GET /user/search.
formsonfire_search_entries
Search submitted form entries (the completed forms your team sent in): who filled them, when, where (GPS) and every answer. Filter by form id or external id, version and a date range (by received time, or complete time via order_by). Returns the page of Entries with TotalRows. GET /formentry/search.
formsonfire_search_tasks
Search tasks (jobs assigned to field workers, each with one or more activities such as filling out a form): status, assignee, due time, activities and history. Filter by assignee, status, name, task template and date range. Returns the page of Tasks with TotalRows. GET /task/search.

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Forms On Fire / Appenate MCP by usefulapi do?
It exposes 11 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: formsonfire_create_task, formsonfire_get_data_source, formsonfire_get_form, formsonfire_get_task, formsonfire_get_user, formsonfire_list_data_sources and 5 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Forms On Fire / Appenate MCP by usefulapi working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 85 of 85 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 251 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Forms On Fire / Appenate MCP by usefulapi?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Forms On Fire / Appenate MCP by usefulapi need an API key?
No. Forms On Fire / Appenate MCP by usefulapi completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 11 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Forms On Fire / Appenate MCP by usefulapi?
It answers our handshake in 251 ms on average, which is faster than 57% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is Forms On Fire / Appenate MCP by usefulapi open source?
The code is open source: it is published under the MIT licence, written in JavaScript, 1 stars on GitHub and 1 open issue. The licence covers the code in the repository, not the hosted service at forms-on-fire.usefulapi.io, which runs on its operator's own terms.
