Capabilities

What this server is able to do. For an MCP server this is often the job itself — a terminal server runs commands because that is what it is for. Listed so you know what you are plugging in, not as an accusation.

Builds a file path from a variable routes/pages.js:275, deploy/preview-emails.js:118
          path.join(__dirname, "..", "content", dir, `${name}.${lang}.md`),
Page loads a third-party script public/index.html:91
    <script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4214732111289465"

Is this your server and something here is wrong? Tell us — corrections are free and do not require a plan.

This code can reach further than it looks

We found places where it runs commands, builds paths or queries from values it is given. None of that is a flaw by itself — it becomes one when the code changes, and code changes quietly between releases. We re-read it on every one.

Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

subdomain
create_subdomain
Create a new DNS record for a subdomain. Supports A records (IP address), CNAME records (hostname) and REDIRECT records (an https:// URL — visitors to the name are sent there with a 301). Example: create demo.sitey.my pointing to 1.2.3.4. No account, API key or signup is needed. The target does not have to be serving yet: claim the name first and deploy to it second if that is your order. The result carries reachable:false when nothing answered, and the record is created either way. If you send no owner_token, the result carries a new one under 'owner_token' — save it, it is shown once and is the only way to change or delete this record later.
delete_subdomain
Permanently delete a subdomain DNS record you own. The subdomain will stop resolving immediately.
update_subdomain
Update the DNS record value of a subdomain you own. For example, change the IP address that demo.sitey.my points to. The new target does not have to be serving yet; the result carries reachable:false when nothing answered, and the record is moved either way.
txt
create_txt_record
Create or update a TXT record for domain verification. Used for services like Vercel (_vercel) and Netlify that require DNS-based ownership proof. The record is placed at the root domain under the prefix you give (e.g. _vercel.sitey.my), alongside the other owners' values — that is the name Vercel reads for a subdomain of sitey.my.
delete_txt_record
Delete a TXT verification record from a subdomain you own.
availability
check_availability
Check if a specific subdomain name is available for registration under a given domain. Returns true if the name is free to claim.
domains
list_domains
List available root domains (e.g. sitey.my, sitey.one) that you can create subdomains under. Call this first to know which domains are available.
renew
renew_subdomain
Extend a subdomain you own before it expires. Subdomains are lent for a period, not given: agent-created records last one month and user records three. Nothing emails an agent, so read expires_at from list_subdomains and call this before that date. One call resets the clock from today. Renewal only opens in the last two weeks before expires_at — an earlier call is refused and tells you the date it opens.
subdomains
list_subdomains
List all subdomains you own. Returns subdomain name, domain, record type, value, and creation date. A REDIRECT record also carries hits: how many visits it has answered in total, how many this calendar month, and when the last one was. Filtered by your API key, or by the owner_token you pass, or — for records made before tokens existed — by your IP address.

Sitey — free subdomains — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Sitey — free subdomains do?
It exposes 9 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: check_availability, create_subdomain, create_txt_record, delete_subdomain, delete_txt_record, list_domains and 3 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
What is Sitey — free subdomains mostly used for?
Its tools cluster around subdomain and txt. That is what this server is built to work with — the grouping comes from the actual tool names, not from a category we assigned.
Is Sitey — free subdomains working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 92 checks got a reply (98.9%), average response time 1749 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Sitey — free subdomains?
Copy the ready config from this page — we generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each with the file path that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Sitey — free subdomains need an API key?
No. Sitey — free subdomains completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 9 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
Is Sitey — free subdomains open source?
Yes — it is published under the ISC licence, written in JavaScript and 1 stars on GitHub. The source link is on this page, so you can read exactly what it does with your data before you connect it.
