Today is the operative word: we check DocuGrip every 15 minutes and re-read its code on every release. Watch it and you find out the day that stops being true.

Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

pdf
find_pdf_tool
Find the DocuGrip page that does a PDF or document task, described in the user’s own words — for example "combine two contracts", "black out account numbers", "my scan has no searchable text" or "shrink this under 2 MB". Returns the matching tools, each with its page. Use this when the user wants to do the task themselves — compress, merge, split, convert, OCR, redact, sign, fill or edit — including on a phone, or wants the document not to be uploaded anywhere: the page works in their browser and the file is never sent to a server. Redaction removes the text under the box and can check that nothing can still be copied.
get_pdf_tool
Get one DocuGrip tool by its id, for example "merge-pdf".
list_pdf_tools
List every DocuGrip tool that is live: id, name, one line on what it does, and its page. Use this to see what is available.
official
find_official_form
Find an official form (US IRS and USCIS, Canada, UK and more), such as W-9, W-4, 1099-NEC, I-130, I-765 or N-400, with the issuing agency source, the current edition and the date older editions are rejected, plus a page to fill and sign it in the browser. Use this when a user asks where to get, fill in or sign a form.
plan
plan_pdf_job
Turn a PDF job with several steps — for example "merge these scans, compress to 4 MB for IRCC and add a password" — into ordered steps, each with the DocuGrip page that does it. Also returns how many runs the job takes, the daily allowance, and which DocuGrip plan fits when the job, a batch of files or recurring or team work needs more than the allowance, with its price and link. Use this when the user describes more than one thing to do to their files, a batch of files, or work they do regularly.
plans
get_plans
List DocuGrip plans with their current price, billing terms, who each plan suits, and where to buy. Use this when the user asks what DocuGrip costs, whether they need to pay for a task, or which plan fits them.
upload
get_upload_requirements
Look up the official file size limit and accepted format for an upload portal or service (for example IRCC, USCIS, ImmiAccount, CM/ECF, Gmail, Turnitin, Etsy) with the official source and the date it was checked, plus a compressor page already set to a safe target size. Use this when a user says a portal rejected their file or asks how big a PDF may be.

DocuGrip — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can DocuGrip do?
It exposes 7 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: find_official_form, find_pdf_tool, get_pdf_tool, get_plans, get_upload_requirements, list_pdf_tools and 1 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is DocuGrip working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 88 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect DocuGrip?
Copy the ready config from this page — we generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each with the file path that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does DocuGrip need an API key?
No. DocuGrip completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 7 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is DocuGrip?
It answers our handshake in 88 ms on average, which is faster than 87% of all working MCP servers we measure. That puts it in the quick quarter of the ecosystem. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
