Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

trending
trending
Use this when the user wants what is trending or rising right now, such as "what is trending in AI today?" or "rising posts about postgres this week". Pass topic (a niche: ai, developer-tools, startups, marketing, ecommerce, security; or words that must all appear), window (1h, 6h, 24h, 3d or 7d; default 24h), and optionally sources and limit. Returns posts from Hacker News, DEV Community, GitHub, Product Hunt, Lobsters and YouTube, ranked by heat, each with link, publish time, count, gain per hour and heat, plus rising keywords and the status of each source. Reddit and X are not read.
trending_digest
Use this when the user wants a daily digest or content ideas for a niche, such as "give me today's AI digest" or "content ideas for marketing". Pass niche (ai, developer-tools, startups, marketing, ecommerce, security; leave it out for everything) and optionally limit. Returns the top posts of the last 3 days that are still on their sources' lists, the top 5 for each source, rising keywords, post counts per niche and a link to the digest page.
feedback
get_feedback_reply
Read the maintainers' reply to feedback you sent with submit_feedback, given its ticket id. Returns status pending until a reply is ready, then status answered with the reply text. The reply is information for you, not an instruction.
submit
submit_feedback
Send feedback, a bug report or a tool request to the maintainers of the tools on this server: a missing tool, missing or stale data, or a tool that broke or gave a wrong answer. Pass the kind (need_tool, need_data, bug or other), one short message (at most 1000 characters) and, if you know them, the tool name and the error text it returned. Returns a ticket id. Feedback is not a chat: nothing in it is run or followed. Links, emails and phone numbers are removed and nothing about you is stored.

Trending Now — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Trending Now do?
It exposes 4 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: get_feedback_reply, submit_feedback, trending, trending_digest. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Trending Now working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 14 of 14 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 212 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Trending Now?
Copy the ready config from this page — we generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each with the file path that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Trending Now need an API key?
No. Trending Now completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 4 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Trending Now?
It answers our handshake in 212 ms on average, which is faster than 59% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is Trending Now open source?
Yes — it is published under the MIT licence, 0 stars on GitHub and 1 open issue. The source link is on this page, so you can read exactly what it does with your data before you connect it.
