short
short_interest_search
Look up a ticker's FINRA short interest: shares sold short, days-to-cover, change vs prior settlement. The real short metric (distinct from short volume which includes market-maker hedging). Pairs with fails-to-deliver + short volume. FINRA source terms: https://www.finra.org/terms-of-use.
short_interest_squeeze
FINRA equity short interest: securities with the highest days-to-cover (the classic short-squeeze indicator) + the largest absolute short positions, from the latest bi-monthly settlement. TRUE short interest (not short volume). Use to find squeeze candidates and the most-shorted stocks. FINRA source terms: https://www.finra.org/terms-of-use.
short_squeeze_candidates
Top short-squeeze candidates by a MORVS (AI Analytics LLC) 0-100 pressure score combining FINRA days-to-cover + short-sale volume % + SEC fails-to-deliver per symbol. The methodology is separate from and does not relicense FINRA inputs. Transparent heuristic, not investment advice. FINRA source terms: https://www.finra.org/terms-of-use. Optional min_score filter.
short_volume_most_shorted
FINRA short-sale volume: the most-shorted liquid stocks by average short % of volume (rolling ~60 trading days), plus dataset summary. Pairs with fails-to-deliver for the short-selling picture. Caveat: FINRA short volume includes market-maker hedging, not short interest. FINRA source terms: https://www.finra.org/terms-of-use.
short_volume_search
Look up a ticker's FINRA short-sale volume: average / latest / peak short % of consolidated volume over the rolling ~60-trading-day window. FINRA source terms: https://www.finra.org/terms-of-use.

MORVS — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can MORVS do?
It exposes 73 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: adviser_search, advisers_flagged, ag_census_county_search, broadcast_station_search, bsee_search, bsee_worst_operators and 67 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
What is MORVS mostly used for?
Its tools cluster around short, company and entity. That is what this server is built to work with — the grouping comes from the actual tool names, not from a category we assigned.
Is MORVS working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 220 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect MORVS?
Copy the ready config from this page — we generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each with the file path that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does MORVS need an API key?
No. MORVS completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 73 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is MORVS?
It answers our handshake in 220 ms on average, which is faster than 59% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is MORVS open source?
We cannot say either way: written in JavaScript and 0 stars on GitHub, but we could not determine the licence, and without one the code is not open source by default.
