restaurant
get_restaurant_grade
KitchenGrade searches captured Florida DBPR records for Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties only. This is not statewide coverage or a live statewide search. Get the current KitchenGrade grade and dated inspection basis for an exact public DBPR establishment ID (e.g. 2010:5816523) in this catalog. A missing ID is not evidence of closure or no inspections. Preserves unavailable/historical/expired grades as unknown, without guessing. KitchenGrade independent grade is not issued by DBPR and is not a food-safety guarantee.
restaurants
search_restaurants
KitchenGrade searches captured Florida DBPR records for Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties only. This is not statewide coverage or a live statewide search. Use this tool only for an actual restaurant, public address or city search. Do not use it for MCP questions, documentation or connection tests, or send placeholder queries such as 'hello world' or 'model context protocol'. Use MCP ping for connection checks. Explain this coverage limit when a requested location is outside it or no record matches; zero results do not establish that a restaurant does not exist or has no inspections. Prefer a restaurant name as query and a separate city filter. Common requests such as 'find Winter Garden restaurants named Spoleto' are also supported. Returns exact identifiers and independently calculated, dated KitchenGrade inspection grades; not DBPR grades or food-safety guarantees. Empty results may include separately labeled nameSuggestions: possible close restaurant names that retain all submitted filters, not primary matches or a confirmed interpretation of the intended restaurant. Filter-recovery options instead explain which filters would need to change; those alternatives do not satisfy every original filter. Neither kind adds primary matches. Only describe recovery suggestions as nearby when nearRequestedCity is true, using the returned proximity qualification. Use an exact establishment ID with get_restaurant_grade before recommending a specific restaurant.

KitchenGrade — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can KitchenGrade do?
It exposes 2 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: get_restaurant_grade, search_restaurants. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is KitchenGrade working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 26 of 92 checks got a reply (28.3%), average response time 297 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
The registry lists KitchenGrade as active — why does it not respond?
The official MCP registry stores what the author submitted; it does not verify that the server still runs. We check the endpoint ourselves, and this one does not answer. Catalogues that copy the registry without checking will show it as working.
How do I connect KitchenGrade?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does KitchenGrade need an API key?
No. KitchenGrade completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 2 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is KitchenGrade?
It answers our handshake in 297 ms on average, which is faster than 47% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
