What the code does

Evidence

Things with no honest explanation: a promise that contradicts the code, code that runs at install time while hiding what it does, data leaving the machine.

  const match = AGENT_REGISTRY_REF_RE.exec(input.reputationRegistryRef);
Capabilities

What this server is able to do. For an MCP server this is often the job itself — a terminal server runs commands because that is what it is for. Listed so you know what you are plugging in, not as an accusation.

  const match = AGENT_REGISTRY_REF_RE.exec(input.reputationRegistryRef);
  const res = await fetch(`https://api.telegram.org/bot${TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN}/sendMessage`, {

We found things in this code

Code changes quietly between releases, and nobody reads the diff of a dependency. We do, on every release — watch Cra Check and you get told the day something new turns up.

github
check_github_repo
Reads up to about thirty public pages of a public GitHub repository and reports which of eight security signals are visible: a security policy that names a contact or a reporting link, a software bill of materials, proof of where releases come from, a lockfile, automatic updates of dependencies, security scans in CI, recent maintenance and a licence. For each signal that is not visible the answer says what would make it visible; a signal that could not be read completely is marked not measured, never as a gap. The eight signals are a selection related to topics in the EU Cyber Resilience Act. This is an indication from public data, not a compliance check, not a certificate and not legal advice; private repositories and hosts other than GitHub cannot be checked. Read only. Limited to a few checks per ten minutes per address.

Cra Check — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Cra Check do?
It exposes 1 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: check_github_repo. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Cra Check working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 111 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Cra Check?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Cra Check need an API key?
No. Cra Check completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 1 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Cra Check?
It answers our handshake in 111 ms on average, which is faster than 90% of all working MCP servers we measure. That puts it in the quick quarter of the ecosystem. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is Cra Check open source?
The code is open source: it is published under the MIT licence, written in TypeScript and 0 stars on GitHub. The licence covers the code in the repository, not the hosted service at api.tokenizen.nl, which runs on its operator's own terms.
