Available tools 21

Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

company
uk_company_profile
Full Companies House profile for a company number: status, SIC codes, registered office, accounts and confirmation statement dates, plus the first page of officers (up to 35), with explicit total/coverage metadata. Primary source, cached for up to 24 hours, provenance attached.
uk_company_search
Search the UK Companies House register by name or number. Returns candidate companies with number, status, type, incorporation date and registered address, with provenance. Primary source with retrieval timestamp; cached for up to 24 hours.
adverse
adverse_media
Roadmap probe, not yet served: adverse media screening with citations. Calling records the requirement and returns not-covered.
capability
find_capability
Search live and honestly planned data capabilities. Searches inform build priority.
charge
charge_register
Roadmap probe, not yet served: outstanding charges and security for a UK company. Calling records the requirement.
counterparty
counterparty_evidence
In one call, assemble a Companies House candidate and profile with optional GLEIF and sanctions evidence. Supply a company number for a direct lookup, or a name and optional registered postcode for candidate resolution. Exact title matches are preferred; ambiguous or fuzzy-only matches are flagged for review. This is evidence assembly, not identity verification, a KYB decision, or sanctions clearance.
cross
cross_registry_resolve
Roadmap probe, not yet served: resolve a company across Companies House, GLEIF, OpenOwnership and sanctions lists into one entity record with per-assertion provenance. Calling records the ask and returns not-covered.
director
uk_director_changes
Roadmap probe, not yet served: per-entity change feed for officer appointments and resignations, priced per delta. Calling records the requirement and returns not-covered.
entity
entity_match
Compare two company references using supplied company-number/LEI equality and normalised name similarity. When one reference has a UK company number and the other only a name, optionally corroborates against Companies House. LEIs are compared as supplied, not validated against GLEIF by this tool. Returns a verdict, heuristic confidence and signal provenance.
fca
fca_register_check
Roadmap probe, not yet served: authorisation status of a firm or individual on the FCA register. Calling records the requirement.
insolvency
uk_insolvency_notices
Roadmap probe, not yet served: structured Gazette insolvency notices for a monitored entity, per event. Calling records the requirement.
kyb
kyb_verdict
Roadmap probe, not yet served: single-call KYB verdict (exists, active, officers, PSC, sanctions, insolvency) with signed provenance receipt. Calling records the requirement and returns not-covered.
lei
lei_lookup
Resolve a legal entity to its Legal Entity Identifier via the GLEIF API. Supply identifier_type as lei or name, and identifier_value accordingly. Returns LEI, legal name, jurisdiction, status and registration dates. CC0 source data, provenance attached.
pep
pep_screen
Roadmap probe, not yet served: politically exposed person screening. Calling records the requirement and returns a structured not-covered response. Sanctions-only screening is live at /v1/screen/sanctions.
procurement
uk_procurement_awards
Roadmap probe, not yet served: contract awards for a supplier from Find a Tender OCDS data. Calling records the requirement.
psc
uk_psc_ubo
Roadmap probe, not yet served: resolved beneficial-ownership chain for a UK company from PSC data, entity-resolved across registries. Calling this records your requirement and returns a structured not-covered response.
registry
registry_doc_fetch
Roadmap probe, not yet served: fetch and parse a specific Companies House filing into structured JSON. Calling records the requirement.
request
request_data
State a data requirement, intended use, expected monthly volume and acceptable price. Free and logged to inform build priority.
sanctions
sanctions_screen
Screen a person or entity name against sanctions lists loaded directly from primary government sources (configurable: OFAC SDN and consolidated, the UK Sanctions List). Returns match verdict, candidate hits with scores, list versions and retrieval timestamps. Not a PEP or adverse-media screen.
vat
eu_vat_check
Roadmap probe, not yet served: VIES VAT validation with provenance. Calling records the requirement.
vessel
vessel_sanctions
Roadmap probe, not yet served: screen a vessel (IMO, name, flag) against sanctions designations. Calling records the requirement.

CompanyVerify — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can CompanyVerify do?
It exposes 21 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: adverse_media, charge_register, counterparty_evidence, cross_registry_resolve, entity_match, eu_vat_check and 15 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is CompanyVerify working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 197 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect CompanyVerify?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does CompanyVerify need an API key?
No. CompanyVerify completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 21 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is CompanyVerify?
It answers our handshake in 197 ms on average, which is faster than 68% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
