getwowlink missed one check this week

Everything else answered, so this is steady rather than shaky. We check every 15 minutes, which is how a one-off gets told apart from the start of a pattern, and how you hear about the next one within the hour instead of from your users.

Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

install
get_install_instructions
The og:image and twitter:image tags for every page, with the image URL pattern for this site. Needs a published design. It also records "agent" as the site's connection method in getwowlink, in place of the one set before.
link
check_link_preview
Scores how a page looks when shared on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Telegram, WhatsApp and Slack, and lists the og: and twitter: tags to fix. Useful before launch or after changing meta tags. Works without an account. The result includes a link to a visual report of the check.
previews
create_previews
Creates branded Open Graph image designs for a site with AI and returns a link where the person picks one, tweaks it and publishes. Needs a getwowlink account (the client asks the person to sign in). The result includes the picker link; nothing is published until the person presses Publish there, never by this tool. While the site is still being read, the result says so and a later call continues.
site
check_site_previews
Checks up to 50 pages from the sitemap: which have no image, share one image, or are broken. Works without an account. A call returns within about 25 seconds; a check that isn't finished by then returns a check_id, and a call with it picks the check up where it left off.
verify
verify_install
Checks live pages: exactly one og:image, served by getwowlink, and whether crawlers already fetch the images. Meant for after the tags from get_install_instructions are deployed. Checks the home page unless you pass paths (up to 5, each starting with "/").
wait
wait_for_design
Waits until the person has picked and published a design, then says what to install. A call returns within about 25 seconds with the design's current state: generating, waiting for the person, published or failed.

getwowlink — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can getwowlink do?
It exposes 6 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: check_link_preview, check_site_previews, create_previews, get_install_instructions, verify_install, wait_for_design. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is getwowlink working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 476 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect getwowlink?
Copy the ready config from this page — we generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each with the file path that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does getwowlink need an API key?
No. getwowlink completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 6 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is getwowlink?
It answers our handshake in 476 ms on average, which is faster than 24% of all working MCP servers we measure. That is on the slow side — worth knowing if the tool sits inside an interactive loop. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is getwowlink open source?
Yes — it is published under the MIT licence and 0 stars on GitHub. The source link is on this page, so you can read exactly what it does with your data before you connect it.
