Nothing serious here today

Today is the operative word: we check LinkedIn Ads every 15 minutes and re-read its code on every release. Watch it and you find out the day that stops being true.

Put your own value in place of <LINKEDIN_ADS_ACCOUNT_IDS> (Comma-separated numeric ad account IDs this server may access, 1 to 100. Required even for reads). The author’s registry entry marks it as required.

Optional settings from the registry entry, left out of the block above: LINKEDIN_ADS_ACCESS_TOKEN (Member access token from your own LinkedIn app, with r_ads and r_ads_reporting. Keep it secret), LINKEDIN_ADS_REFRESH_TOKEN (Programmatic refresh token. With the client ID and secret, the token is renewed in memory), LINKEDIN_ADS_CLIENT_ID (Client ID of your LinkedIn app, needed for refresh), LINKEDIN_ADS_CLIENT_SECRET (Client secret of your LinkedIn app, needed for refresh), LINKEDIN_ADS_SCOPES (Scopes actually granted to the token. When set, writes require rw_ads), LINKEDIN_ADS_ENABLE_WRITES (true exposes the 15 write tools. Defaults to false), LINKEDIN_ADS_API_VERSION (LinkedIn-Version header as YYYYMM. Defaults to 202608), LINKEDIN_ADS_LOG_LEVEL (debug, info, warn or error. Logs go to stderr. Defaults to info).

LinkedIn Ads — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

Why is there no uptime for LinkedIn Ads?
LinkedIn Ads runs on your own machine over stdio — there is no network address to reach, so uptime cannot be measured for it by anyone. What can be measured is adoption: the npm package @getmcpads/linkedin-ads-mcp-server.
How do I connect LinkedIn Ads?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It runs locally, so the command pulls @getmcpads/linkedin-ads-mcp-server straight from npm; nothing to host, nothing to sign up for.
Is LinkedIn Ads open source?
Yes — it is published under the Apache-2.0 licence, written in TypeScript and 0 stars on GitHub. The source link is on this page, so you can read exactly what it does with your data before you connect it.
