Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

product
check_product_requirements
For one product, what Fortitude21 publishes about its certification and its cautions, the exact scope of any UN status, the documents that exist for it, and the information a quotation still needs. It reports what the publisher states and does not state what any market requires, nor that Fortitude21 holds a certificate: UN approval is granted per design type and the authority decides which plants it covers. For the regulations themselves it points at the dangerous goods tools on this same server.
get_product_categories
The twelve product categories with their slugs, taglines and product counts, split into two families: container, what the liquid sits in, and system, everything around it. Use the slugs to filter search_products. Every product sits in exactly one category and may be cross-listed into others.
get_product_details
The complete published record for one product: identity, typed specifications with the provenance of each figure, the full spec table, orderable units and their part numbers, size and model tables, images, documents available on request, and pricing. Accepts a slug from the product URL or an F21 part number. Fields the factory has not supplied are returned as available on request rather than omitted, so an absent value is never mistaken for a value of zero.
get_product_documents
Which documents exist for a product and how to request them: UN certificate and test report where the design carries one, mill certificate for a stainless grade, food-contact declaration where the product is specified for food or potable contact, and the specification sheet and drawing. Nothing is published as a generic download, deliberately: the documents are issued against a specific design and production run, so a generic file would describe someone else production run.
get_product_pricing
The published commercial terms for one product: pricing type, currency, minimum order quantity, the quantity bands and any approved indicative unit price per band, validity date, Incoterms and lead time. Any price returned is indicative and never a quotation: it carries binding false, it excludes freight, duty and taxes, and the highest quantity band is always a quotation rather than a figure. Most products are priced on request, and those return no number at all.
adr
adr_1000_points
Total the ADR 1.1.3.6 points for a vehicle load and say whether it stays within the small-load exemption (1,000 points, or the quantity limit for one transport category), and what still applies. Covers 92 UN numbers. If any line cannot be read the whole load is refused, never totalled without it. A UN number with entries in more than one transport category needs packing_group; the response lists them.
bund
bund_size
Apply the secondary containment rule for a country or region to the containers stored together, and return the minimum sump capacity in litres, the rule that governs, and spill pallets that pass. Regions: England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, or world. Needs at least one container count (drums, ibcs, small or other). An uncovered region returns the 16 region codes to choose from.
compare
compare_products
Compare two to six products on the attributes they all publish. Rows where every product has a value come back as comparable; rows where some do not are returned separately with the products that have no recorded value named, so a blank is never read as a worse figure. Fortitude21 does not rank its products against each other, and the tool does not either: which one suits an application depends on the contents, the destination market and the order.
decode
decode_un_packaging_mark
Read a UN packaging mark part by part (packaging code, performance level, density or gross mass, test pressure, year, state, maker; IBC, large packaging, salvage and reconditioned marks too). Add a UN number to check whether the container may carry that substance under ADR 2025. Reads a mark with or without the "UN" prefix, and a bare code such as 3H1. If the user has not read the mark off the container, ask them for it rather than passing a description of the container.
ibc
ibc_inspection_dates
Work out an IBC's next leakproofness test, 2.5-year and 5-year inspections, the last month it may be filled and (UN/ADR, plastic and composite IBCs) the end of its five-year life. Dates as MM/YYYY, "March 2024" or YYYY-MM. Needs made, or a mark it can read the month of manufacture from.
jerry
jerry_can_quantity
Work out how much water (people x days x litres a day, Sphere and national advice) or fuel (distance and consumption, or hours and consumption, or generator kVA) to hold, with a margin, and how many jerry cans that takes.
number
un_number_packaging
Look up a dangerous goods UN number (or substance name) in ADR 2025 Table A and its packing instructions. Returns class, packing group, limited quantity, UN mark level and, for each container type (jerrican, drum, IBC, composite), the UN codes allowed and the largest size in litres. Covers 157 UN numbers of liquids. A substance name matching more than one entry returns the candidate UN numbers instead of an answer: call again with un= set to one of them.
products
search_products
Search the Fortitude21 liquid containment catalogue: steel, stainless, aluminium, tinplate and UN-rated HDPE jerry cans, pails, tins, drums, spill pallets, closures and handling equipment. Filter by material, capacity in litres, category, application, certification and pricing type. Terms are combined with AND and a product with no recorded value for a filtered attribute is excluded rather than assumed to match, so an empty result means no product satisfies every condition. Returns a summary per product with the url for the full record.
quote
create_quote_request
Submit a quotation request for one or more products and get a reference back. It creates an enquiry for a person to price and nothing else: it accepts no price, confirms no stock, commits no delivery date and creates no order. Every part number is validated against the catalogue and the information a quotation still needs is named back in the response. consent must be true, confirming the buyer agreed to their contact details being sent, because the agent calling this is not the buyer.

Fortitude21 Dangerous Goods Tools — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Fortitude21 Dangerous Goods Tools do?
It exposes 14 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: adr_1000_points, bund_size, check_product_requirements, compare_products, create_quote_request, decode_un_packaging_mark and 8 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Fortitude21 Dangerous Goods Tools working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 184 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Fortitude21 Dangerous Goods Tools?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Fortitude21 Dangerous Goods Tools need an API key?
No. Fortitude21 Dangerous Goods Tools completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 14 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Fortitude21 Dangerous Goods Tools?
It answers our handshake in 184 ms on average, which is faster than 75% of all working MCP servers we measure. That puts it in the quick quarter of the ecosystem. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
