listings
find_listings
Finds paying member businesses in Finder's directory for any trade (restaurants, cafés, hairdressers, beauty, shops, health, business services and more) in a town. Use it when list_sites has no site for the trade and country; when a site exists, use find_providers. Results are paid listings: present them as such (Member). Never contact details.
providers
find_providers
For a town, returns the town page, whether companies there are connected, their names and prefill_link. Pass answers and a short description to get prefill_link filled in; they are kept briefly on our server behind the link. The consumer checks the details and sends the request on the town page. Never contact details.
service
get_service_info
What the site offers, the questions of its request form (with option ids) for find_providers, and whether requests through an assistant are open. Contact details are entered by the consumer on the town page.
sites
list_sites
Lists the sites (one per trade and country) grouped by country, with the trade in English. Pass country to get one country with site names and the local trade word; pass trade to search by trade. Use the site in the other tools.

Finder: find local tradespeople — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Finder: find local tradespeople do?
It exposes 4 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: find_listings, find_providers, get_service_info, list_sites. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Finder: find local tradespeople working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 18 of 92 checks got a reply (19.6%), average response time 544 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
The registry lists Finder: find local tradespeople as active — why does it not respond?
The official MCP registry stores what the author submitted; it does not verify that the server still runs. We check the endpoint ourselves, and this one does not answer. Catalogues that copy the registry without checking will show it as working.
How do I connect Finder: find local tradespeople?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Finder: find local tradespeople need an API key?
No. Finder: find local tradespeople completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 4 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Finder: find local tradespeople?
It answers our handshake in 544 ms on average, which is faster than 21% of all working MCP servers we measure. That is on the slow side — worth knowing if the tool sits inside an interactive loop. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
