Cryptographically verify a Dominion signed attestation (JWS) — e.g. a trust-verdict receipt, gateway attestation, or MCP Verified badge. Stateless: checks the Ed25519 signature against Dominion's published public key (no trust in this server required). Use this to confirm a receipt another party gave you is authentic and untampered.

verify_before_call

Run a signed pre-invocation verification immediately before an agent sends money, credentials, private data, or write access to an MCP server. The first 3 verifications per agent are free. After that, authenticate the MCP HTTP request with Authorization: Bearer do_<api_key> for Stripe metering ($0.01/call), or call once without payment to receive x402 instructions and retry with payment_tx. Returns PASS/UNCERTAIN/FAIL/UNRATED, evidence freshness, recommendation, and a signed diligence receipt.

We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 149 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.

Did Observatory ever remove tools?

Yes. attest_server, get_mica_attestation are no longer exposed — we recorded the date each one disappeared. A tool vanishing usually means a breaking change for anything that depended on it.

How do I connect Observatory?

Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.

Does Observatory need an API key?

No. Observatory completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 14 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.

How fast is Observatory?

It answers our handshake in 149 ms on average, which is faster than 81% of all working MCP servers we measure. That puts it in the quick quarter of the ecosystem. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.

Is Observatory open source?

We cannot say either way: written in JavaScript, 2 stars on GitHub and 3 open issues, but we could not determine the licence, and without one the code is not open source by default.
