Nothing serious here today

Today is the operative word: we check Doconda every 15 minutes and re-read its code on every release. Watch it and you find out the day that stops being true.

This one needs environment variables set before it will start: DOCONDA_API_KEY (Doconda API key (ak_eu_…), from https://doconda.com). The author declared them in the registry entry; get the values from the project itself.

Available tools 8

Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

document
create_document
Create a finished document: Word, PDF, PowerPoint, Excel or an artifact (a web page with its own shared database, e.g. a poll or a team checklist). Choose only the format: Doconda works out what kind of document it is (contract, letter, report…) from the request. Give `prompt` to have it written, or `markdown` with the content already written. Waits until it is ready and returns download links.
get_document
A document's status and fresh download links (they expire after 5 minutes).
artifact
read_artifact_data
What people have saved in an artifact's page (e.g. poll votes): its collections, or one collection's records, newest first.
documents
list_documents
The latest documents made in this project (newest first), with their id and name. Use an id as file_id to review, edit or read one, or in source_file_ids to create from it.
edit
edit_document
Change an uploaded Word, PowerPoint, Excel or PDF file as asked (e.g. 'blue headings and add a confidentiality clause'). Only what is asked changes; the rest stays identical. Returns the new file and a link to the report of every change.
report
get_report
What a review or edit found and did: problems left, fixes applied or rejected (and why), and for edits every change with the text before and after.
review
review_document
Check an uploaded Word, PowerPoint, Excel or PDF file (also .doc, .ppt, .xls) for problems and fix the safe ones without touching the content, no AI: tables off the page, split signatures and broken numbering in Word; text overflowing its box or shapes off the slide in PowerPoint; formula errors, numbers stored as text or sheets too wide to print in Excel; scanned pages without text, missing title or language in PDF; amounts in words that don't match the figures in all of them. Files with macros are rejected; other dangerous content (external links and pictures, embedded files, automatic actions…) is removed. Returns the fixed file (old formats come back as .docx/.pptx/.xlsx) and what was found.
upload
upload_file
Upload a file (Word, PDF, PowerPoint, Excel — also the old .doc, .ppt and .xls —, TXT, Markdown, or a PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP picture; up to 20 MB) to review or edit it, or to use it as a source. Returns its file_id. Give `url` (public) or `content_base64`.

Doconda — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Doconda do?
It exposes 8 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: create_document, edit_document, get_document, get_report, list_documents, read_artifact_data and 2 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Doconda working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 92 of 92 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 215 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Doconda?
Copy the ready config from this page — we generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each with the file path that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Doconda need an API key?
No. Doconda completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 8 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Doconda?
It answers our handshake in 215 ms on average, which is faster than 58% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
How many people use Doconda?
The npm package @doconda/mcp was installed 280 times in the last week. Week over week that is -29%. We show installs rather than GitHub stars on purpose: a star is a bookmark, an install is someone actually running it.
Is Doconda open source?
Yes — it is published under the MIT licence, written in TypeScript and 1 stars on GitHub. The source link is on this page, so you can read exactly what it does with your data before you connect it.
