grade_cross_reference

Cross-reference a carbide insert grade across manufacturers. Given any maker's grade (e.g. GC4325, KC5010, IC807), returns its ISO 513 application position(s) and the grades other manufacturers publish at the same position, each row carrying its verification status (multi-source consensus / independently confirmed / single-source chart). Comparable-at-ISO-position is a trial starting point, not an interchangeability guarantee.

Cross-reference a workpiece material designation across standards (EN, Werkstoffnummer, AISI/ASTM/UNS, JIS) from a curated 77-material set, e.g. "1.4404" -> AISI 316L / X2CrNiMo17-12-2 / SUS316L. Each match includes the ISO 513 machining group, a machining note, and whether the pairing is a same-composition equivalent or a nearest commonly-cited counterpart. Always verify against the material certificate.

Starting cutting-speed and feed ranges for coated-carbide TURNING by ISO 513 material group (P steel, M stainless, K cast iron, N aluminium, S_TI titanium, S_NI nickel superalloy, H hardened steel). These are deliberately wide practice ranges, not from any one catalog; the maker's data for the exact grade always wins.
