Available tools 4

Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

laws
laws_for_business
Given how a business uses AI and where its customers are, returns the laws in force and the ones coming, each with what must be disclosed, when, the penalties and the sources, plus the notice rules that satisfy all of them. Free, no account. Not legal advice.
list_laws
Every AI disclosure law BotNotice tracks (U.S. states, federal, EU, UK), with status and effective date, optionally filtered. Also the pending bills.
law
get_law
The full record for one law: who must comply, what to disclose, timing, duties, exemptions, penalties, enforcement, sources and the last-verified date. Slugs come from list_laws or the dataset at https://botnotice.app/datasets/ai-disclosure-laws.json.
website
check_website
Reads a public website: which chat or voice-AI tools it runs, whether an AI disclosure is already shown, and, for the business described, which laws that leaves unmet. The same check as the free scan at botnotice.app/scan, without the browser pass. Not legal advice.

Botnotice — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Botnotice do?
It exposes 4 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: check_website, get_law, laws_for_business, list_laws. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Botnotice working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 60 of 92 checks got a reply (65.2%), average response time 324 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Botnotice?
Copy the ready config from this page — we generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each with the file path that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Botnotice need an API key?
No. Botnotice completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 4 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Botnotice?
It answers our handshake in 324 ms on average, which is faster than 43% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
