Nothing serious here today

Today is the operative word: we check Magneta Contract Risk every 15 minutes and re-read its code on every release. Watch it and you find out the day that stops being true.

contract
contract_quick_flags
Free, no payment: bytecode-only preview of a deployed smart contract. Covers proxy/upgradeability, ERC-20 probe (name, symbol, owner, paused), risky selectors found in the bytecode (mint, blacklist, fee/tax setters, pause, upgrade), SELFDESTRUCT/DELEGATECALL opcodes, and a partialScore/partialLevel computed from those on-chain signals only. Does NOT cover source verification (Blockscout, Sourcify) nor aderyn static analysis, so partialScore can be lower than the real risk. contract_risk_summary ($0.01 in USDC via x402) is the full report. Read-only, no side effects; an EOA is rejected; identical requests within 10 minutes return the cached result; the HTTP twin GET /v1/flags/:chainId/:address is rate limited to 30 requests per minute per IP.
contract_risk_summary
Analyze a deployed smart contract and return a deterministic risk report: 0-100 score with level (low/medium/high/critical), proxy/upgradeability, owner and pause state, risky selectors found in the bytecode (mint, blacklist, fee/tax setters, pause, upgrade), SELFDESTRUCT/DELEGATECALL opcodes, source verification (Blockscout, Sourcify) and aderyn static-analysis findings. Use it before trading, bridging, approving or integrating a token or protocol contract; Use contract_quick_flags first for a free bytecode-only preview when you are not sure the full report is worth paying for. Use supported_chains first if you are unsure the chain id is covered, and scoring_rubric to interpret the score. Paid: $0.01 in USDC on Base per call via x402. The first call answers with an x402 payment challenge; an x402-enabled client pays automatically and the same call then returns the report. Read-only, no side effects. Error cases (unsupported chain, invalid address, address is not a contract, upstream data source failure or timeout) return an isError result with an error message and are not charged; identical requests within 10 minutes return the cached report.
scoring
scoring_rubric
Return the exact rubric behind contract_risk_summary scores: points per flag, the level thresholds and what each flag means. Free, read-only, no parameters. Call it to explain a score to a user or to decide your own threshold before acting on a report.
supported
supported_chains
List the EVM chains contract_risk_summary can analyze, as { chainId, name, testnet } objects. Free, read-only, no payment and no parameters. Call it when you need to map a chain name to its id or to check coverage before paying for a report.

Magneta Contract Risk — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Magneta Contract Risk do?
It exposes 4 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: contract_quick_flags, contract_risk_summary, scoring_rubric, supported_chains. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Magneta Contract Risk working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 91 of 91 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 390 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Magneta Contract Risk?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Magneta Contract Risk need an API key?
No. Magneta Contract Risk completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 4 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Magneta Contract Risk?
It answers our handshake in 390 ms on average, which is faster than 37% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is Magneta Contract Risk open source?
The code is open source: it is published under the MIT licence, written in TypeScript, 0 stars on GitHub and 1 open issue. The licence covers the code in the repository, not the hosted service at x402.magneta.finance, which runs on its operator's own terms.
