Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

fetch
fetch
Fetch one docs page as markdown by the id `search` returned (a path such as /platforms/python), or by its full docs.bithuman.ai URL. Returns JSON {id, title, text (the whole page as markdown), url, metadata}. Example: {"id": "/api/agents"}. Errors: an unknown path (run `search` for the id) and a URL outside docs.bithuman.ai are refused. Read-only, no sign-in.
search
search
Search docs.bithuman.ai (bitHuman real-time avatar SDKs, the REST API, deployment options, models, pricing). Returns JSON {results: [{id, title, url, section, text}]}, most relevant first (default 8, at most 20); `text` is a short snippet, so pass the `id` to `fetch` for the whole page. Example: {"query": "create an agent and poll status", "section": "API reference"}. An empty query is an error; no match returns an empty list (try fewer or other words, or drop `section`). The REST contract as OpenAPI 3.1 JSON: https://docs.bithuman.ai/openapi.json.

bitHuman docs — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can bitHuman docs do?
It exposes 2 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: fetch, search. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is bitHuman docs working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 35 of 91 checks got a reply (38.5%), average response time 256 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
Is bitHuman docs still maintained?
The author archived this repository on GitHub, meaning it is no longer maintained. We show this because it changes what you can expect: an unmaintained server may keep answering for months and then stop without warning.
How do I connect bitHuman docs?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does bitHuman docs need an API key?
No. bitHuman docs completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 2 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is bitHuman docs?
It answers our handshake in 256 ms on average, which is faster than 65% of all working MCP servers we measure. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is bitHuman docs open source?
The code is open source: it is published under the Apache-2.0 licence, written in JavaScript, 0 stars on GitHub and 3 open issues. The licence covers the code in the repository, not the hosted service at docs.bithuman.ai, which runs on its operator's own terms.
