Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

tender
get_tender
The facts of one tender by its askTender id: title, buyer, country, deadline, value, status, and a plain-English brief where available, with its askTender link.
tender_incumbent
For a tender: who holds or last won this buyer's similar contracts, the buyer's closest past contracts (winner, value, date) and a price guide from them, useful when the notice publishes no value. Intelligence plan and above.
account
my_account
The user's askTender plan and what it includes.
bid
get_bid_kit
The submission checklist for a tender against the user's company: documents they already have, drafts askTender prepares for signature, and items to obtain with lead times. Pro plan and above.
bids
my_bids
The user's bids being prepared with askTender and their status.
can
can_company_bid
Whether a company based in one country may bid for public tenders in another country (trade agreements, foreign-bidder rules, registrations needed). Give a tender_id or the tender's country. Use when the user asks whether a company from one country can bid on, or take part in, public tenders in another country.
compare
compare_plans
askTender's plans (Pro, Intelligence, Business): prices, what each includes, who each is for, and which fits the user's situation. Use when the user asks about pricing, which plan to choose, or what askTender can do for them.
eligibility
check_my_eligibility
For the user's own company (askTender account): whether it can bid on a tender and qualifies, which requirements it meets, what is missing and how to close each gap. Needs the askTender account connected. Use when the user asks whether their own company qualifies for, or can bid on, a specific askTender tender.
guides
find_guides
askTender's guides on how public procurement works: registering on portals (SAM.gov, GeM, Find a Tender...), digital signatures, bid security, foreign bidders, consortiums. Returns titles, summaries and links.
matching
my_matching_tenders
Open tenders for the user's company: found by what its askTender profile says the company does (its capabilities), or by a search phrase if given. Use when the user asks which tenders suit or match their company.
requirements
get_requirements
Every requirement of a tender in the tender's own words (financial, experience, certifications, registrations, bid security, documents), routed to who handles each. Pro plan and above.
save
save_tender
Save a tender to the user's askTender list (deadline reminders and tracking).
saved
my_saved_tenders
The tenders the user has saved on askTender, with deadlines.
start
start_managed_bid
Hand a tender to the askTender Desk, which prepares the bid with the user and coordinates askTender Partners (accountants, professionals) for certificates and filing. Business plan.
tenders
search_tenders
Find open government tenders (calls for bids) by what is being bought and, optionally, the country. Returns up to 10 live tenders from official procurement portals (refreshed daily) with buyer, deadline, value and an askTender link. Use when the user asks to find tenders, calls for bids or public contracts to bid on.
upcoming
upcoming_renewals
Contracts in the user's markets that are ending soon (the next tender is coming). Intelligence plan and above.
watch
watch
Add a public buyer or a supplier (competitor) to the user's watchlist, to follow their tenders and awards. Intelligence plan and above.
watchlist
my_watchlist
The buyers and competitors the user watches, with their recent activity. Intelligence plan and above.

askTender — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can askTender do?
It exposes 18 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: can_company_bid, check_my_eligibility, compare_plans, find_guides, get_bid_kit, get_requirements and 12 more. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is askTender working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 87 of 91 checks got a reply (95.6%), average response time 833 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect askTender?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does askTender need an API key?
No. askTender completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 18 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is askTender?
It answers our handshake in 833 ms on average, which is faster than 10% of all working MCP servers we measure. That is on the slow side — worth knowing if the tool sits inside an interactive loop. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
