Nothing serious here today

Today is the operative word: we check Arugula every 15 minutes and re-read its code on every release. Watch it and you find out the day that stops being true.

Read directly from the server with tools/list, grouped by what they act on. If a tool disappears, we record the date.

offers
find_offers
Turns the user's request, with any context they stated (location, dates, budget, party size, preferences), into an intent and returns the offers that fit, best first, each with a tracked link to show the user (tracked_url). Matching runs in the background; when no offers are back yet, call get_offers with the intent_id in a few seconds. It never buys anything. By using Arugula you agree to arugulanet.com/terms. Privacy: arugulanet.com/privacy.
get_offers
The offers ranked for an intent from find_offers, best first, only those that fit, each with its tracked link (tracked_url) and how_to_buy. offer_id is the offer's public ID: lst_ for a merchant listing (open tracked_url to book with the merchant, no sign-in), off_ for a seller's offer on Arugula. By using Arugula you agree to arugulanet.com/terms. Privacy: arugulanet.com/privacy.
explain
explain_match
One match with its explanation: why the offer fits the request, its fit and verification, and the draft terms (getMatch). brief: true leaves the explanation out. By using Arugula you agree to arugulanet.com/terms. Privacy: arugulanet.com/privacy.

Arugula — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

What can Arugula do?
It exposes 3 tools, read directly from the server on our last check. Among them: explain_match, find_offers, get_offers. The full list with descriptions is on this page — we take it from the server itself via tools/list, not from a README. How MCP servers expose tools in the first place →
Is Arugula working right now?
We send a real MCP handshake every 15 minutes. Over the last 24 hours 13 of 13 checks got a reply (100.0%), average response time 1296 ms. The bar chart above shows every period we have measured.
How do I connect Arugula?
Copy the ready config from this page. We generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each in the form that client actually reads. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install — the client connects to the address.
Does Arugula need an API key?
No. Arugula completed a full MCP handshake with us as an anonymous client and listed its tools without asking for anything. All 3 of them are readable on this page. This is what we observed, not what the docs claim.
How fast is Arugula?
It answers our handshake in 1296 ms on average, which is faster than 2% of all working MCP servers we measure. That is on the slow side — worth knowing if the tool sits inside an interactive loop. The comparison comes from our own checks across the whole registry, every 15 minutes.
Is Arugula open source?
The code is open source: it is published under the Apache-2.0 licence, written in Smarty and 0 stars on GitHub. The licence covers the code in the repository, not the hosted service at mcp.arugulanet.com, which runs on its operator's own terms.
