This one needs environment variables set before it will start: LF_REPO_API_URL (Base URL of your Laserfiche Repository API Server, e.g. https://lf.example.com/LFRepositoryAPI), LF_REPOSITORY_ID (Repository name or ID to operate against.), LF_USERNAME (Service-account username with read access to the repository.), LF_PASSWORD (Service-account password.), LF_API_VERSION (Repository API version: v1 (default) or v2.), LF_READ_ONLY (Read-only mode. Defaults to true; set false to register the write tools.). The author declared them in the registry entry; get the values from the project itself.

Laserfiche MCP — questions

Answers built from our own checks of this server.

Why is there no uptime for Laserfiche MCP?
Laserfiche MCP runs on your own machine over stdio — there is no network address to reach, so uptime cannot be measured for it by anyone. What can be measured is adoption: the pypi package laserfiche-mcp was installed 832 times last week.
How do I connect Laserfiche MCP?
Copy the ready config from this page — we generate it for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code, each with the file path that client actually reads. It runs locally, so the command pulls laserfiche-mcp straight from pypi; nothing to host, nothing to sign up for.
How many people use Laserfiche MCP?
The pypi package laserfiche-mcp was installed 832 times in the last week. Week over week that is -9%. We show installs rather than GitHub stars on purpose: a star is a bookmark, an install is someone actually running it.
Is Laserfiche MCP open source?
Yes — it is published under the MIT licence, written in Python and 2 stars on GitHub. The source link is on this page, so you can read exactly what it does with your data before you connect it.
