Usage

Download from GitHub

Unified Download Command

Automatically detects source type:

  • GitHub URL → Uses git sparse checkout
  • Archive URL/path → Downloads and extracts
  • Directory path → Copies directly

All download methods validate:

  • Skill folder contains SKILL.md
  • SKILL.md has valid YAML frontmatter with name and description
  • No malicious content patterns detected

Output Structure

Downloaded skills are placed in:

Error Handling

How to use it

Copy the folder

Take nicepkg/ai-workflow-skill-downloader from the repository into ~/.claude/skills for personal use, or into .claude/skills inside a project.

Check the name does not clash

The agent identifies a skill by the name field in its header. Two skills with the same name cannot sit side by side — one of them will be ignored.
