Newman Basics

Newman is Postman's CLI runner. Install with:

npm install -g newman

Once the CLI command output is delivered, ask the user:

If the user says yes:

  • If the skill is available:
  • Read and follow the instructions in the API Documentation skill
  • Use the API design output above as the input
  • Deliver the documentation as plain text output
  • If the skill is NOT available:
  • Inform the user: "It looks like the API Documentation skill isn't installed.

How to use it

Copy the folder

Take lambdatest/postman-newman-automation from the repository into ~/.claude/skills for personal use, or into .claude/skills inside a project.

Check the name does not clash

The agent identifies a skill by the name field in its header. Two skills with the same name cannot sit side by side — one of them will be ignored.

Install what it needs
